I went to the Iftar in Manchester that was organised in the Cathedral. Everyone was commenting how this is so wrong and how Muslims should not even go there. Well I am sorry that I don’t share your opinion. This Iftar was organised to bring together the Muslims living here as they are far from their families and to actually feel the best of Ramdan which is being together. Even non Muslims joined because they want to learn what is it like to be a Muslim and what is Ramadan for us. I know that most Algerians won’t understand this as there is only one religion in Algeria and we were raised to not tolerate any other religion. But once you leave that country, you would understand that there’s more in this world that you haven’t seen and still a lot of things to learn. Going to that cathedral has not made me any less Muslim or disrespected my religion in any ways. And I feel sorry for you if you see it that way.
The prayers were done outside for those who asked.
